About

We Started With a Tubing Cutter, Not a Fitting Cart

Tip Trim Lab exists because most fitting sessions stop at picking a head and a flex letter, then hand the actual cut off to whoever happens to be in the back that day. We built our whole studio around getting that one step right.

Our Story

A Machine Bench First, a Showroom Second

Tip Trim Lab opened on the Fort Myers waterfront in 2016, started by a former marine rigger who'd spent more hours squaring cuts on aluminum tubing than hitting golf balls. That background shows up in how we treat a shaft: as a precision part with a correct length, not a commodity you buy off a wall.

Every trim is referenced against the manufacturer's published chart, measured on a frequency board before and after the cut, and written onto a numbered ticket the client keeps. Close to eight thousand shafts later, that discipline hasn't changed.

What We Believe

Three Rules the Bench Never Skips

Measure Before You Cut

No trim happens until we've logged a baseline frequency reading on the uncut shaft — you can't judge a cut against a number you never took.

No House Shaft

We stock every major shaft line specifically so no single brand's margin ever decides what gets recommended.

The Ticket Goes Home With You

Raw length, trim amount, and both frequency readings are printed and handed over — your build spec shouldn't live only in our filing cabinet.

Meet the Hands Behind the Cutter

Our fitters combine PGA-recognized training with real hours logged at the trim bench, not just the launch monitor.
