FAQ

Questions We Get Before Booking

The most common things clients ask before and after a fitting session, answered straight.

What does "tip trimming" actually mean?

It's the practice of cutting a measured amount of material off the tip end of a shaft — the end that goes into the head — before the club is assembled. Removing tip material stiffens that section and nudges the shaft's effective kick point higher, changing feel and launch without touching the flex label printed on the shaft.

Will a shaft trim change my swing weight?

Yes, slightly — removing weight from the tip end lightens the club a small amount, which we account for during head and grip selection so the finished swing weight lands where you want it.

How long does a fitting session take?

Single-club fittings (driver, fairway wood, hybrid, wedge, or putter) run 45–60 minutes. Iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes. A full bag assessment covering every club typically takes 2–3 hours.

Do I have to buy clubs after my fitting?

No. There's never any obligation to purchase. You'll receive a printed cut ticket and data report with our recommendations and can decide later. If you do order, your fitting fee is credited in full toward the purchase.

What should I bring to my session?

Bring your current clubs relevant to the fitting, the shoes you normally wear to play, and a rough sense of your typical scores or handicap if you know it.

Can I request a trim length outside the manufacturer's chart?

We can cut past a published chart's maximum, but we'll walk you through the added stiffness and feel change first — over-trimming past the recommended window can make a shaft feel noticeably boardy, and we won't do it without a clear conversation about the tradeoff.

How long does it take to receive my new clubs after ordering?

Most builds are completed in-house within one week of ordering, since we cut, stock, and build on-site rather than sending orders to an outside factory queue.

Do you fit left-handed golfers?

Yes. Our demo wall includes left-handed heads across every major category, and our trim bench and launch monitor setup work identically for right- and left-handed golfers.

Do you offer follow-up adjustments after a build?

Yes. Any loft, lie, or length adjustment needed within 30 days of a build is included at no additional charge, as your swing settles into the new equipment.

What areas do you serve?

Our studio is located in Fort Myers, Florida, and we regularly serve golfers throughout the greater Fort Myers area, including Cape Coral, Estero, and Bonita Springs.
